fans want roseanne on fox
ROSEANNE - "Twenty Years to Life" - "Roseanne," the timeless sitcom that broke new ground and dominated ratings in its original run, will return to ABC with all-new episodes, in a special hour-long premiere, TUESDAY, MARCH 27 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT). "Roseanne" will air in its regular time slot, 8:00-8:30 p.m., beginning TUESDAY, APRIL 3. “Last Man Standing” is getting a second chance on Fox – and fans want the network to pick up “Roseanne,” too.

Less than a week after ABC abruptly canceled the “Roseanne” reboot following unsavory statements made by Roseanne Barr, the network is already considering rebooting the reboot to focus on the character of Darlene, Roseanne’s single mother daughter, rather than Roseanne:

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ … the powers that be at ABC are exploring the possibility of re-branding the show and focusing on the character Darlene instead of Roseanne.

We’re told Sara’s been calling cast members to gauge their interest in the event ABC gives the reboot the green light. We’re told John Goodman is “very interested.”

However, despite the reported interest from cast and crew, fans are not on board for a show without Roseanne.

Indeed, “Roseanne” without Roseanne Barr just wouldn’t be the same. So, in effort to keep the popular show intact, fans are urging Fox to pick it up.

Earlier this year, Fox received praise from conservative audiences with the announcement that they would bring back Tim Allen’s popular show, “Last Man Standing.” However, despite hope that Fox will do the same for “Roseanne,” it appears unlikely. Last week, Barr herself responded to a tweet from Oliver McGee, a member of the National Diversity Coalition For Trump, seemingly refuting a future for “Roseanne” on Fox.

Barr also responded to another tweet squashing a rumor that Fox had already picked up the show.

Unfortunately, it appears that “Roseanne” as we knew it is over for good. If ABC does reboot the show to focus on Darlene, it will be decidedly different – and almost surely anti-Trump. In other words, don’t be surprised when “Last Man Standing” gets huge ratings in the fall.
