roseanne season finale

Roseanne Barr’s eponymous sitcom “Roseanne” has been stirring up controversy and infuriating liberals everywhere ever since it returned to television this season. With the season finale coming up this week, Barr dropped an announcement about the final episode that may surprise some people.

Barr told reporters that after a season full of controversy, the finale will be uplifting and have a message of hope for viewers.

“We’re wrapping up the season in a great way that kind of gives the idea that government can really help people. That’s something that I wanted to end on,” Barr told The Associated Press. “Hopefully, we can get our government to take care of the citizens of this country in a better way.”

Much to the dismay of some liberal viewers, however, Barr added that the episode will include God as a major theme. She explained that the character of Roseanne Conner has just admitted that she is addicted to painkillers, and she will have to face her condition head-on during a deluge in her town.

“It’s about rain and health care and God,” Barr said of the episode.

Politics have played a major role in the entire season, as the character of Roseanne is a supporter of Donald Trump while her sister Jackie, played by Laurie Metcalf, is an avid Hillary Clinton supporter. Many liberals were not happy with the way the show tackled some hot-button issues from both sides this season, but Barr said she saw the season as a huge success.

“The show did great. Scrutiny is always good — it’s part of being successful,” she said. “It gives everyone something to talk about. And everyone gets to express their opinion, too.”

Sara Gilbert, who stars as Barr’s daughter Darlene on the program and also serves as executive producer, said that the criticisms that have poured in from liberals show just how fractured the media landscape is today.

“When you get big numbers, you kind of have to expect some kind of extra scrutiny. And because of the way the internet works, and the clicks on news articles, the most negative stories get the most pickup,” she said. “Overall, I’m so grateful that people are watching and supporting us. Overall, I think the experience has been very positive.”

“Roseanne” has been especially popular among Trump voters, a group of people whose perspective has been grossly underrepresented in the liberal-dominated world of television since the election. We can’t wait to see what the season finale is like, and what “Roseanne” has in store for us next season!
