If you’ve ever had a run-in with Canada Geese, you know they can be surprisingly aggressive. They get particularly nasty when they are protecting their young. Recently, a flock of geese showed just how brave and aggressive they are when they took on an alligator they didn’t like on a Florida golf course.

Ryan Witkowski was driving on the 9th green of Palm Beach Garden’s PGA National Resort Champion Course when he spotted this bizarre encounter. Ironically, he was there for a golf charity benefit for Christie’s Critters, an animal rescue non-profit. He spotted the geese driving the alligator away as he drove in.

“Look at this! Oh my god! (Hole) number nine! PGA National!,” Witkowski shouted as he approached the honking geese and the fleeing alligator as other golfers stopped to catch the show as well!

The parents were obviously protecting their anchor babies from the predatory alligator, but they weren’t alone! It turned into a family affair when the entire flock of geese grouped up to bully the intruder away from the green they considered their own! One goose appears to even step on the gator’s tail! These birds weren’t messing around. They wanted that gator GONE!

We have heard so many stories of alligators sunning their bellies in the middle of golf courses. Who would have thought a bunch of Canada Geese would be able to pressure a creature far higher on the food chain than them? One question we should keep in mind, however, is if they could bully an alligator into fleeing, what could they do to the golfers?

The video below is almost unbelievable and will certainly make you laugh!

Wow! Maybe the Buffalo Creek Golf Course in Palmetto, Florida should hire this flock to chase the 16 feet long Godzilla-like alligator named Chubbs off their course!
