boy scouts name change

The Boy Scouts will soon be no more. They carried their name like a badge of honor for over a century. After 108 years, they have taken a leftward bend and are now going to be Scouts BSA in order to be more inclusive. This is yet another battle line in the quest to blur gender lines and identity.

In 2015, the Boy Scouts caved to leftist pressure by allowing girls to join their ranks. “Equality” had been a focal point of the Obama Administration and this organization’s traditional ways did not outlast Barack’s White House reign. The organization has been accepting girls as Cub Scouts, the program for 7 to 10-year-olds. The newly named Scouts USA, for 11 to 17-year-olds, will begin accepting girls next year. Girls will be able to earn the same badges as boys. Girls will also be able to attain Eagle Scout status.

This name change will take effect next February. “We wanted to land on something that evokes the past but also conveys the inclusive nature of the program going forward,” Chief Scout Executive Mike Surbaugh said. “We’re trying to find the right way to say we’re here for both young men and young women.”

He predicts boys and girls will simply refer to themselves as scouts rather than by identifying themselves by gender. This is yet another example of the War On Boys as they are not permitted to have their own organization and camaraderie.

Many people had concerns that the inclusion of girls in Boy Scouts would lead to the elimination of the Boy Scouts. It didn’t take very long for this concern to become a reality. This political correctness on steroids is destroying our culture. There are serious differences between boys and girls. Leftists will no longer allow this to be acknowledged.

There is one organization that is rather taken aback by this. This will likely have an impact on The Girl Scouts of America. Leaders of that organization were reportedly blindsided by this change.

“Girl Scouts is the premier leadership development organization for girls,” said Girl Scouts’ CEO Sylvia Acevedo. “We are, and will remain, the first choice for girls and parents who want to provide their girls opportunities to build new skills … and grow into happy, successful, civically engaged adults.”

Share this if you have had enough of this political correctness!
