Tim Tebow Did It Again! The Crowd Goes Wild!

Tim Tebow had his AA debut on Thursday. In his first at-bat, he proved why he belongs there. Tebow homered to right field on the very first pitch of his career in this league. This three-run home run put the Binghamton Rumble Ponies five runs in the bottom of the first inning.

The Heisman trophy winner’s switch from football to baseball is proving to be a wise move as he continues improving his game and inspiring fans. As a non-roster invitee to Spring Training this year, Tebow earned a .226 batting average with eight home runs. His opening day performance against the Portland Sea Dogs has many wondering if he will be called up to play major league ball with the New York Mets this season.

It’s rather dramatic to hit a home run at the first at-bat of the season, let alone the first pitch of a career in a new league. But, that’s exactly what Tim Tebow did. You’ll be cheering when you watch the Instagram video below!

As rare as this is, it’s not the first time Tim Tebow has done this. Last season Tebow also homered in his first at-bat of the season with the Class A Columbia Fireflies. Every time Tim Tebow joins a team, he hits a home run in his first at-bat. That’s an incredibly rare feat for any athlete!

Tebow is a devout Christian who openly prays even when he is being mocked for it. His dedication to his faith and this sport is clearly paying some serious rewards for the quarterback turned baseball player.
