Swimmers at a New Zealand beach got quite a shock when a killer whale approached them. The group ran for their lives through the waist-high water in an attempt to escape the orca.
Stunningly, when they first see the killer whale, they point at it and don’t move. It isn’t until the person taking the video tells them to get out of the water that they start hustling. They get to the shoreline and then observe the orca.

It appears that they stayed at the waterline to watch the killer whale. This probably wasn’t a wise move as these whales are able to hunt in some rather shallow waters. This isn’t Shamu. This is a wild animal who hasn’t been domesticated or trained! It will kill you if it’s hungry!
