Americans were entertained by “The Carol Burnett Show” for 11 years. Although the show ended in 1978, these episodes are still fun to watch decades later.
Carol Burnett, Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, and Vicki Lawrence provided us with a tremendous amount of laughter. One of the funniest parts of the show was when they would make each other laugh.
Making Each Other Laugh
Tim Conway always excelled at this. Allegedly, he would follow the script during rehearsal but would go off course a bit when filming in order to get his castmates to laugh.
Harvey Korman was the biggest sucker for this, but in the hardware store skit, both Carol and Vicki succumbed to his antics.
Mama Harper (Vicki Lawrence) and Eunice (Carol Burnett) decided to visit Ed (Harvey Korman) at his hardware store and take him to lunch. He doesn’t want to go with them and after watching the skit, I can understand why. I wouldn’t want to go with them either!
Tim Conway Goes Off Script
Mickey Hart (Tim Conway) returns from running an errand and that’s when the real fun begins. He pretends Mama is hard of hearing and then he clearly goes off script and compliments Mama’s blue hair. Vicki and Carol have to try to gather themselves so they don’t laugh out loud.

Tag-Team Nagging
Poor Ed! Who would want to put up with all that nagging? Mama and Eunice were tag-teaming him. Who could blame him for wanting to have lunch with his friend instead!
