Russians Convinced Of Nuclear War After Flash Is Seen For Miles

A bright flash of light lit up the night sky over parts of Russia this week. Many people reported this mysterious light was followed by the ground shaking, leading many to believe at the time that the United States had bombed North Korean madman Kim Jong-un.

This occurrence happened on Sunday, which was the night of Russian Orthodox Christmas Day. The light and accompanying vibration was witnessed over thousands of miles but most predominate in the regions of Bashkortostan, Udmurtia, and Tatarstan.

Russian officials immediately denied it was caused by a missile launch and there were no reports of space rock falling to earth. After it was confirmed that the United States did not bomb North Korea, many began further questioning what this actually was.

Some believed the timing of this happening on Christmas was both beautiful and unusual. Was it some sort of message? Was the timing intentional?

Yuri Nefefyev, director of the Engelhardt Astronomical Observatory, sees the origin was atmospheric electricity, saying that this is still something not properly explained by science.

‘There are a huge number of effects linked to atmospheric electricity, many of which are not properly studied because of how rarely they occur,’ he said.

Yet scientists offered completely different versions of what happened.

Some claimed the bright light flash was refracting from low clouds, others that it was a dry thunderstorm. Astronomers from Kazan Federal University insisted there was a space link.

This was seen over a large portion of Russia, highlighting the fact that this was something massive. Another video of this in a different location is below.

It is very odd that authorities haven’t been able to pin down an exact cause of the sky lighting up in this manner over such a large area. We would be insisting on an answer if this happened in the United States without any concrete reason!
