The Rock Gets Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

You know you made it when you receive your star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame; this honor has now befallen Dwayne Johnson, better known under his wrestling name “The Rock” by us wrestling fans. Here’s the story!

Statement By the Producer of Walk of Fame Ceremonies

The wrestling community is excited about the induction of the Rock into the Walk of Fame, especially since he released many box office hits over the past couple of years. The Walk of Fame is now recognizing that talent too. This is the statement made by the Walk of Fame ceremony producer.

“Not only does Dwayne have a great personality and talent, but he also does a great amount of philanthropic work which is part of the criteria for earning an immortal spot on the Walk of Fame.”

“We envision scores of photos being taken at his star by his fans.”

The Rock Foundation

As the statement of the producer mentioned, Dwayne Johnson does loads of philanthropic work. One of his charities is his own Rock Foundation, which he started in 2006.

The Rock Foundation mainly works with terminally ill children. The focus of the charity is to educate, empower, and motivate children through health and fitness around the world. The Rock Foundation had a serious impact on the lives of many sick children, but it also influenced the Rock’s chances of being on the Walk of Fame.

The Ceremony

Being inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame requires a fancy ceremony! The ceremony for Dwayne will take place on December 13th, where he will be honored for his status as a global box-office star!

If you are thinking of attending the ceremony of the Rock, you will have to be at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard, in front of Hollywood and Highland, between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm. Since it may be a long day, be sure to pack enough drinks and something to nibble!
