Kaylene Bowen-Wright, 34, was recently charged with child abuse after her child had been seen by doctors 323 times, and had 13 major surgeries. A Texas judge set her bail at $150,000, and she can no longer communicate with her 8-year-old son or any other minors. This woman might be the worst parent I have ever seen in my entire life.
During his young life, Christopher has “been placed full time on oxygen and, at times, used a wheelchair. He’s endured invasive procedures and surgeries, including being fitted with a feeding tube that fed directly into his small intestine and led to multiple life-threatening blood infections.”
Christopher’s father, Ryan Crawford, tried his best to convince the Dallas County family court that his son wasn’t as sick as his mother was trying to portray. He felt she wanted attention. Ryan went as far as to say Bowen-Wright showed signs of Munchausen’s syndrome by proxy, which makes a person seek out attention from others.

Dr. Suzanne Roper-Dakil of Children’s Medical Center Dallas suspected that Bowen-Wright may have been trying to make Christopher sick, according to an affidavit included in a child protective services petition for Christopher’s removal from his mother. This suspicion was raised after Bowen-Wright recently took Christopher to the center because of a supposed seizure.
“I am very concerned that mother has moved from exaggerating symptoms to inducing symptoms,” Roper-Dakil wrote in the affidavit. “If mother has given Chris something to induce a seizure, this is potentially fatal. At this point, I am very concerned for his welfare.”

How cold can a person be? A GoFundMe page was even created for Christopher, which raised $610 before it was shut down. Allegedly, a family friend started that page up and claimed Christopher had cancer. Christopher does not have cancer, but his medical condition, which his mom contributed to, is so dire, that a YouCaring campaign was started and has raised more than $8,000 for the young boy’s medical care.
Christopher’s father is trying to gain custody of his son from his mother after warning the court and pleading for action. I am praying he wins his case and that the child’s mother goes to prison for a long time.
