The holidays are a special time for families to gather together, but sometimes things don’t go as planned. Family members might argue over politics or there may be a designated grumpy relative. In some instances, the problem comes from the food! Food is the centerpiece of Thanksgiving, so when there is an issue with the food, there is a serious problem!
America’s Funniest Home Videos has put together a collection of some of the dumbest Americans who completely failed at cooking their Thanksgiving turkeys. There is more than one way to cook a turkey and these folks fail spectacularly in almost every way possible!
The compilation ranges from big dudes in muscle tees letting their deep fryer completely explode to a family letting their oven go up in flames when trying to cook their turkey. It’s just crazy how many different ways these folks fail at making their Thanksgiving dinner.
There is even one where a gas tank’s hose catches fire. Fortunately, there wasn’t a mass explosion! That could have consequences far beyond ruining the turkey!
One fool allows a dog to stand nearby as he drops the turkey into a fryer that obviously has too much oil. The man is allowed to be stupid, but he should keep his dog in a safe spot!

Some people shouldn’t be allowed near the kitchen or the deep fryer! At the very least, they need a fire extinguisher nearby! I think these folks should take a play out of Santa Claus and head to Denny’s for Thanksgiving instead.
