zip line mistake

Three weeks ago, I wrote a story about how a woman decided to ride a zip-line. Zip-lines are usually safe because of all the safety precautions that are taken before someone is launched into the air.

Unfortunately for one woman, her zip-lining experience was much different and a lot scarier than she expected.

Imagine you’re flying at a fast rate of speed on a zip-line and you forget how to slow down. What do you think would happen? Do the instructors jump in front of you to stop your momentum? Do they grab a hook and reel you in? Do you continue to fly past your stopping point hoping to eventually slow down before crashing?

In the video below, you are going to see something you rarely ever see and it’s amazing and troubling at the same time.

From Rumble Video:

The woman went with her kids to a zip-line for some adventure time, but the adrenaline and the exhilaration made her forget the crash course they give you at the start.

That all would have been great, if the woman’s speed under her weight didn’t press the spring pad to the max. And you know what happens when a spring get pressed all the way down – it has to come right back up, sending the woman back up the line!

The only problem here is the line goes up and the spring doesn’t have enough force to return the rider to the beginning of the line. So now she is stranded in the middle of it. And it is a looong way down from there.

Just watching this video gives me the creeps. This woman could have ended up stuck in the middle of the line until an instructor could have ventured out to help her.

It’s very important that you listen to the instructors before going on a zip-line. They’re fun but they’re dangerous too and never something that should be toyed with. Thank God she was not hurt from this ride.

What would have done if you had gotten stuck while riding a zip-line? Do you have any advice for the woman in this video? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!
