Rumors about a rivalry between Sasha Banks and Bayley started earlier this year, but so far nothing has happened. This has led fans to believe that the rivalry is not happening. However, there are indicators that the feud between Sasha Banks and Bayley is simply delayed. Here is the story!
Sasha Turning Heel
There has been some talk about a heel turn for Sasha Banks; this with the purpose of Sasha facing Bayley. This rumor has resurfaced again recently, but the rumor does indicate that the WWE has not given up on the plans with Banks and Bayley, but that the rivalry is not going to happen anytime soon.

Losing Face
Everyone knows that Bayley has some problems connecting with the crowd. While she does well with the younger fans, the older fans lack a connection with the Hugger. Therefore, the company needs a good all-round face that appeal to both.
For the WWE and the RAW brand, Sasha Banks has been one of the most consistent faces. Unfortunately, this also means that the WWE cannot turn Sasha the way things are at the moment.
Keeping Face
According to the backstage rumor mill of the WWE, officials want to keep Sasha Banks face for the match between the horsewomen of WWE and the horsewomen of MMA. Then, once the WWE has a consistent face on the brand Sasha finds herself on, there could be time for Sasha to turn and take on Bayley.
Just Don’t Ask
Wrestling fans and journalists beware! During an interview, Sasha Banks indicated she is sick and tired of fans asking her if she is turning heel. This is what she said:
“Ummm, either one. I don’t like to just be like… cause a lot of people ask me ‘when are you going to turn heel?’ Like, I don’t care because guess what? I’m going to be in the WWE for a very long time so you’re going to see both versions of myself for a while.”
“So people need to shut up because that’s what I’m sick of hearing. ‘When are you gonna turn heel?’ Then once I turn heel, ‘when are you gonna turn babyface?’ You guys just need to shut up and let me do me, okay? Why do you want me to turn on Bayley? That’s my best friend. I don’t have a lot of friends so just accept it. Yeah, I play either one very well, so it doesn’t matter.”
Based on her reply, I’d say Sasha is more of a ‘tweener than a face or a heel. Still, the way she has been dealing with fans over the past couple of months, including her definition of stalkers, certainly seems to put her in the real-life heel category.
