NFL Coach Slaps Down Rumors Of Colin Kaepernick Joining Team!

On Sunday, Green Bay Packers starting quarterback, and former NFL MVP, Aaron Rodgers, suffered a broken collarbone during a game against the Minnesota Vikings. Rodgers’ status for the remainder of the season is unknown, and the Packers have been forced to start Brett Hundley, an untested quarterback with little NFL experience.

Given the Packers’ dire situation for the remainder of the season, some have suggested that the team sign disgraced quarterback Colin Kaepernick to fill in until Rodgers is able to return from his injury.

Rodgers is a supporter of Kaepernick and has even argued that the former NFL player deserved a spot on an NFL team. Well, following Rodgers’ injury on Sunday, Packers coach Mike McCarthy was asked by a reporter about Kaepernick joining the team, and let’s just say he was not happy with the question.

In a fiery response, McCarthy tore into the reporter: “Did you just listen tot he question I just answered? Okay, I got three years invested in Brett Hundley, two years invested in Joe Callahan, the quarterback room is exactly where it needs to be. We’re fortunate to have a great quarterback in Aaron Rodgers. We’re committed to the path that we’re on. We need to play better as a football team and Brett Hundley will be starting this week. Joe Callahan will be the back-up.”

Despite pressure from some in the media, Coach McCarthy clearly has no interest in bringing on Colin Kaepernick. Not only do the Packers already have a quarterback to fill in while Aaron Rodgers recovers from his injury, but McCarthy knows that the disgraced Kaepernick would be a major distraction for his football team.

Kaepernick’s National Anthem protests have made him toxic around the NFL, making him a liability that no one wants to take on, including the Green Bay Packers!
