‘Alaskan Bush People’ Net Worth Will More Than Cover Ami’s Medical Bills

Alaskan Bush People fans are aware the Brown family comes from humble beginnings. They had to barter to get what they needed to survive in the backcountry of Alaska. Fans were so touched with the Browns and their simple lifestyle that they even attempted to give them money early into the series.

But, there is no need to donate to the Browns any longer. Questions have been asked about their financial worth, given their relocation to California and possibly Colorado. In addition, son Bam Bam and his girlfriend are moving to the Bahamas to live on a boat. The cost of living in the Bahamas is much different from the woods of Alaska!

The show began airing on Discovery seven years ago. Their popularity has been great for the network and the Browns have been rewarded well for it. It is reported that Billy has $5,000,000 while each of the Brown children has between $40,000 and $50,000 each. I certainly won’t begrudge them for earning a living, particularly when they have a popular TV show.

While this cash flow alleviates the need to barter for food and items, it will do something even more important than that. Ami’s medical bills have to be a staggering amount. They wouldn’t have been able to barter to cover the costs. It’s reported that her Stage IV lung cancer only gives her a three percent chance of surviving. Her care and long hospital stays are going to be astronomical. Billy’s fortune is obviously needed to pay for that and their relocation to Colorado.

Ami’s cancer has clearly taken an emotional toll on the family. Filming for Season 8 still hasn’t started or been announced. Clearly, her health concerns are the priority rather than the show. She’s in the fight of her life. As the video below details, the family is coming to grips with the reality of the situation. Their matriarch is fighting for her life and they are all fighting with her.

The Brown family doesn’t need our money, but they still need our prayers. The odds are stacked against Ami. We should all include this family in our intentions.
