On Thursday, NFL legend OJ Simpson will have his parole hearing to determine whether or not he can be released from prison after serving 9 years of a 33-year sentence for kidnapping and armed robbery.
Since entering prison, Simpson has reportedly been a model inmate, but the cloud of smoke surrounding the murders of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman still haunt him to this day.
While Simpson’s imprisonment has nothing to do with the two murders he was accused of committing, much of America believes his incarceration is punishment for them.
Regardless of what you think of OJ as a person, there is a legitimate argument to be made that he should be granted parole and released from prison.
He has served the minimum requirement of his 33-year sentence, and everyone, including the prosecutor and his victim, support his release. However, there are some who think he should remain in prison for many more years.
