Impact Wrestling Loses Another Wrestler!
Now, another wrestler can be added to that list - Matt Morgan - who released a statement he is leaving Global Force Wrestling.
Impact Wrestling is experiencing some problems. Over the past couple of months, several wrestlers were either released or left out of their own volition. Now, another wrestler can be added to that list – Matt Morgan – who released a statement he is leaving Global Force Wrestling.
Who Is Matt Morgan?
Matt Morgan, real name Matthew Morgan, is an American wrestler born on September 10, 1976. Until recently, he was signed with Impact Wrestling but also spent some time in the WWE and Japanese wrestling promotions.
Wrestling fans who do not watch Impact Wrestling, but do watch the WWE, might still remember Matt Morgan. Matt made his WWE debut in 2003, during an episode of Smackdown. He would join the team of Lesnar during the Lesnar vs. Angle story-line.
Why Is Matt Morgan Leaving Impact Wrestling (Global Force Wrestling)?
Matt Morgan is leaving the company due to a disagreement about his work schedule. This is what Matt said about his departure:
“Here’s the deal, I made an agreement to wrestle with them on weekends, right? Where I didn’t have to leave my 9-5 job, anything like that. And unfortunately it just didn’t work out because they switched it and they started taping on week days and they’re looking to travel.”
“So when I first talking to Jeff [Jarrett] about this, the idea was you know, you guys are 20 minutes from my house, you guys are there on the weekends. As long as you guys are there on the weekends I can do this.”
Other Wrestling Stars Who Recently Left Impact
If you have followed wrestling news over the past couple of weeks, you might have noticed that a lot of wrestling stars were released from Impact.
Since Matt and Jeff Hardy left the company, it seems like many TNA stars are following suit. Two of the most notable stars to leave the company are Mike and Maria Kanellis. Their departure also made many fans believe that Impact is currently on its last legs.
