Transformers star and actor Josh Duhamel spoke to Fox News about social media where he blasted Hollywood celebrities who think people actually care what their political views are.
“Anybody in entertainment who thinks people care what they think politically are really misinformed. That’s one thing I stay away from. I stay away from politics because nobody cares what I think,” he said.
The actor who is married to Black Eyed Peas pop star Fergie emphasized he doesn’t want or even like to get involved politically.
“I don’t necessary think it’s important to tell people how to vote. That’s one thing I don’t do. I don’t like to get involved politically at all. Nobody cares what I think politically.”
While Duhamel might be in the minority of Hollywood celebrities who don’t like to get involved in politics, he’s not alone.
Recently mega star comedian and actor Kevin Hart spoke to Variety explaining why he too doesn’t get involved in politics.
“When you jump in to that political realm, you’re alienating some of your audience. The world today, it’s really not a laughing matter. It’s serious. I don’t want to draw attention to things I don’t have nice things to say about.”
Celebrities like Amy Schumer obviously don’t understand that message as their careers have begun taking a nose dive with Schumer being dumped from her advertising gig with Bud Light and the upcoming Barbie movie.
