Kelly Clarkson is joining The Voice and she’s fired a warning shot at fellow coach Blake Shelton. Blake currently is known at the most competitive coach, but Kelly says she is going “annihilate” him.
“I’m a big fan of (Shelton). Always have been for, I don’t know, for like a decade now we’ve been friends. So yeah, it should be fun. But yeah, I guess it will be a precursor for ‘The Voice.’ A precursor to when I annihilate him,” Clarkson told the Chicago Tribune.
Blake jabbed back at his friend by saying that he’s glad that she and Miley Cyrus won’t be on the show at the same time because they both talk entirely too much.
Since Kelly Clarkson is a product of American Idol, she will bring a different dimension to The Voice. She knows exactly what it feels like to be a contestant. She faced a grumpy Simon Cowell in the first season of Idol, so she knows what she’s doing and how to motivate singers! You can hear her sing, “Because Of You” in the video below.
Having Kelly join The Voice will certainly bring an entirely new dimension to the show. Hopefully she can give Blake a bit of coaching competition!
