One of the things I worried about when Alexa Bliss made the switch to RAW has happened because the WWE Superstar has to deal with horrible segments given to her by WWE creative. This segment did not help the build for Extreme Rules. Missed RAW this week? Read all about it below!
I managed to sit through the segment and to be honest; I did not think it was as bad as the crowd made it out to be. It was a bit long though.
Out of the entire segment, Alexa still came through as a true champ. Even with the less than favorable situation she was put into, she still looked amazing and did not break her character. Any other female wrestler would probably fall flat on their face.
When I think about Extreme Rules, I must admit that a kendo stick on a pole is not the first thing that comes to mind. A lot of people had no idea what it was either, so it certainly captured the interest of wrestling fans.
Even though the kendo stick on a pole match sounds a little too vanilla for Extreme Rules, I find myself oddly excited about this match. Alexa is always fun to watch, no matter what kind of wrestling match she is participating in. Therefore, I’m sure that she and Bayley can pull this off. Of course, they will need some better promos and segments in the future!
WWE Creative probably had another bad idea, because this segment was dreadful. Alexa tried to carry it like the champion she is, but the segment was too stretched and nothing that interesting happened.
The crowd certainly voiced their displeasure with the segment, bursting out in “delete” chants near the end of the segment. Ouch! It was so bad WWE deleted it from Youtube and Facebook. Luckily, WWE fans found a way to put it back online.
There are some interesting matches lined up for the next pay-per-view, so I cannot wait for it! If you haven’t watched RAW in a while, here are my to-watch picks for this Sunday’s pay-per-view!
One of the matches to watch includes Roman Reigns, because he is set to compete in a fatal 5-way against Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt and Samoa Joe. Finn Balor is currently the favorite to win.
Who would have thought that we would have the privilege to see Matt and Jeff Hardy in a steel cage match in the WWE again? So, this is a match you cannot afford to miss this Sunday!
The Miz takes on Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental Championship this Sunday. If Dean gets disqualified, he will lose the title, so this could be quite interesting! Of course, if the WWE plays their cards right, they could include Renee Young in this rivalry!
There’s a lot to be excited about because each match has some unique angle at the moment. Of course, it could go the other way too, because RAW does have a bad reputation where storyline development is concerned.
What do you look forward to this Sunday? What is your expected match for the night? Also, how did you find the Alexa Bliss segment?
