Fitness star Richard Simmons was admitted into the hospital for severe indigestion on Monday.
“Richard Simmons was hospitalized on Monday at an undisclosed location in California,” his spokesperson told ABC News. He went on: “After a few days of battling severe indigestion and discomfort while eating, we agreed it was best for him to seek treatment.”
The good news is that his spokesperson says the exercise personality is recovering well.
The 68-year-old’s health has been of increasing concern in recent years. Some speculate that his absence from public life may be the result of poor health.
