Social media is a big part of our lives today. We share so much of ourselves. Celebrities do too. We seem to know so much more about them because of social media. It makes you wonder how Elvis Presley would have reacted to Facebook and other social media platforms. Well, Priscilla is setting the record straight.
Priscilla said that Elvis was a private person even though he was known throughout the world.
“He was a very private person. I definitely can’t see him on social media.” Priscilla Presley said. “We joked about this before with some of the inner-circle, saying that ‘Elvis would never be on Facebook!’ He just wasn’t that guy. He was so much more into his art and music than being Elvis Presley.”
Priscilla doesn’t believe that Elvis would be airing his dirty laundry on Facebook. I can understand that. Elvis was alive in a completely different era. I like to think that if he used Facebook, it would be to promote his love for Jesus. He never shied away from his Christianity. Maybe he’d be live streaming performances of songs like “Where No One Stands Alone.” You can hear him sing that in the video below.

It’s hard to escape social media these days so it’s interesting to wonder how Elvis would have reacted to it. Everyone would have wanted to be his Facebook friend!
