Rodeo Clown

Bert Davis is not your typical rodeo clown. This funny man, who goes by the Coppertown Clown, has been making people laugh for over four decades. But, he has some sidekicks who really help make his show perfect.

His “Muttley Crew” features 10 rescue dogs who have been specifically trained to perform with him at rodeos. They have welcomed all of these homeless dogs into their family. They trained each of these dogs to be top notch trickers.

One of his most popular routines is “The Garbageman’s Nightmare.” In the video below, Bert performs with his pal Benji. They both have the crowd roaring! You won’t believe what Benji does when Bert starts swinging the broom!

You can enjoy this adorable and hilarious performance in the video below.

How fun! I loved hearing all the children laughing as Benji pushed Bert into the trash can. Benji is quite a pro! You can tell that he has a lot of fun performing with Bert!

I love that he uses rescue dogs in his routine! Not only did he save their lives, but he trained them to be stars. I can understand why Bert has so many fans!

Bert and his wife Frannie put a lot of time and love into these performances. It takes a significant amount of time to teach the dogs all the tricks, but they insist it is well worth it.

In 2010, the Muttley Crew also were on America’s Got Talent. They got to go to Las Vegas, reaching the third round. These rescue dogs went from the shelter to prime time television! These dogs are as well loved as they are trained. You can watch their AGT audition in the video below!

Share this if think Bert and his Muttley crew are a talented bunch!
