An Arlington, Texas police officer could have arrested a teen he found smoking marijuana, but he had another plan for him. Instead of arresting the punk, he had the teen do 200 push-ups.
A woman who witnessed this, caught it on video. She said the cops are getting painted in such a bad light that she wanted this video to get a lot of attention. Time in jail isn’t always as productive as a creative punishment.
She applauded the police officer for this approach as you can see in the video below.
The boy’s mother was also supportive of the police officer’s tactics to steer her son on the right path. We need more positive stories like this to be shared. This is a win/win situation.
The teen, who was described as being very respectful, was happy to struggle through 200 push-ups to avoid jail time. Hopefully this exercise left an impression and he avoids drug activity in the future. He’s not likely to get an opportunity like this again!
