You know we love our bluegrass here. It is one of the few uniquely American musical styles.
It experienced a bit of resurgence thanks to the movie “Oh Brother Where Art Thou?”
The Cohen Brother’s Depression-era comedy prominently featured the style and produced an award-winning album based on the music sung in the film
One of the songs made famous was “I Am Weary – Let Me Rest” by the Cox family.
This duo takes the song and performs it in a peaceful meadow.
This is one of my favorite songs off the album, and I love hearing it performed in new and inventive ways.
Watch it below!
Just wonderful!
Love seeing the puppy dog running around, too!
Almost as good as the “Oh Brother Where Art Thou?” version
