What Blake Shelton Said Will Make You GASP!

Remembering where you came from is a special gift that nobody should ever forget. When some people make it big in the industry they seem to forget where they came from. However, Blake Shelton is not one of them.

When Blake received the awesome news that his new music single hit #1 there was one special person that is always there in his life he had to recognize, and it wasn’t his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani.

Shelton called his Mom when he found out his single “A Guy With a Girl” hit #1!

“The first thing I did when I found out today was call my mom, just like I did with my first and every [number one hit].” he said. “I’ve been in this business long enough to know that a number one single should be celebrated and never taken for granted…I’m just as excited about ‘Guy With A Girl’ going number one as I was ‘Austin.’ So, as always, thanks to country radio and especially the fans for this.“

“A Guy With a Girl” debuted last September and was written by Ashley Gorely and Scott Hendriks. It’s the fourth single on Blake’s album, If I’m Honest.

Blake described the song to Billboard, “Out on the farm or touring, [I’m] that guy, and then at the end of the day, when it’s time to have a life and go to a party or something, I become the guy that’s with Gwen. It’s pretty cool,” he said.

Blake’s girlfriend Gwen Stefani expressed her excitement for Blake’s success.

As you can tell, Shelton is a very stable and spiritually centered individual. He’s been brought up the right way, and his Mom has everything to do with it. I think it’s awesome that he included her in his great news which doesn’t happen to everybody.
