Those of you living in warm weather states may not ever go through this but if you’ve ever had to park your car outdoors in the winter, you know what it’s like to wake up to a windshield covered in ice. It’s a pain and you can freeze trying to get your car ready to go.

It’s a real burden to contort your body to get the scraper to reach all the icy spots or wait for the car to warm up enough for the windshield to defrost. Fortunately for us, one weatherman found a brilliant, no effort solution for this problem and you likely have all the ingredients in your house right now!

All you need is isopropyl (rubbing alcohol), water and a spray bottle. This solution is going to make winter so much easier for any driver. You won’t need to heat up your car to loosen up the ice on the windshield anymore. It also makes difficult scraping unneeded! Since rubbing alcohol has a freezing point of 128 degrees below freezing, you can just keep the bottle in your car.

WATCH:

That is amazing and so easy! Almost everybody has a bottle of rubbing alcohol in their house. It’s kind of like that jar of petroleum jelly. You hardly ever use it, but it’s there! I’m definitely going to be keeping spray bottles of this solution in my family’s cars this winter. I hate scraping my windshield or wasting gas running the engine to break up the ice.

Now that winter is upon us,  you’ll want to tell people about this. This is so handy that everyone should know about it! It’s such a simple thing but there are a lot of people who aren’t aware of it.

Share this if you know someone who has to deal with icy windshields!
