Tim Friede is known as “Venom Man.” His goal is to help develop a vaccine to protect people from deadly snake bites. What’s crazy is he does it by letting the snakes bite HIM! He has built up his immune system by repeatedly and intentionally being bite by venomous snakes.
It almost seems like an addiction. His obsession with snake bites led to the breakup of his marriage and alienation from his kids. But, he still pushes on.
In the video below, Tim is bitten by two of the world’s deadliest snakes, a black mamba and a PNG Taipan. His reaction to the massive swelling is interesting to say the least.
Venom Man seems more than a little obsessed. While his immune system is rather impressive, he has sacrificed his life for this and he appears to love the pain.
