Olympic Swimmers

Brazilian authorities have stopped three U.S. Olympic swimmers from leaving the country. Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz were removed from their return flights while James Feigen was also prevented from leaving.

This comes after a Brazilian judge called for the seizure of Feignen and teammate Ryan Lochte’s passports after Lochte’s robbery story was called into question.

The New York Post is now reporting that robbery was a complete fabrication and that Lochte lied to cover up a brawl with a gas station security guard.

Watch:

Brazilian authorities claim the swimmers are seen destroying a bathroom and brawling with a security guard at the gas station.

“One of the swimmers was seen on CCTV footage breaking down the door to the bathroom at the gas station and fighting with a security guard” on the night of the incident, a Brazilian police official said.

**UPDATE**

Watch security footage from the gas station:

Authorities also state all of the US swimmers were so drunk they weren’t able to give basic details about the robbery they were the victims of.

It’s hard to tell what the truth is this early in the investigation. One thing is for sure, the Brazilian authorities are being extremely heavy-handed with this case given the amount of crime that happens in Brazil on a daily basis. They look to be targeting the Americans in the hopes of making an example of them. This type of witch hunt is absolutely ridiculous, the Brazilian government should look to protect its own people instead of going after Americans!

Share if the behavior of Brazilian authorities DISGUSTS you!
