A beautiful moment occurred on a flight to Houston recently. An Army Private was accompanying the remains of a World War II veteran to be laid at his final resting spot.
The pilot announced that private would be exiting the plane first, then something remarkable happened. A choir was on that plane and they broke out in song for the hero.
Diane Hollifield Cupp posted video of the special performance of “The Battle Hymn of The Republic” on Facebook. It is definitely worth watching as a tribute to the departed veteran.
Isn’t that beautiful? What a terrific way to honor the sacrifices made by that veteran. We need to respect and honor our veterans. This only took a minute of their time, but it’s rather profound.
