A male kangaroo’s most potent threat comes from its own. A society of kangaroos is called a mob for good reason. It’s a mob like life. There is a lot of boxing and I bet if they could they would be placing bets on the fights!
The dominant male (boomer) of the mob, has its privileges. He has rights to all the female kangaroos in his mob. Because of this, younger male kangaroos challenge the boomer.
