A lion at a zoo in Japan took a lot of interest in a two year boy. The boy was standing right next to the lion enclsoure when he turned his back.
The lion then got low and began to stalk the young boy. Finally, as he got close the lion decided to pounce.
Check out the video. As a mom, it made my heart race!
Fortunately, the young child was protected by a glass wall that completely fooled the lion as he pounced right into it. I bet that had to hurt!
This highlights the need for safety at zoos as these are dangerous animals and accidents such as the one with Harambe the gorilla can be prevented with the proper safety precautions. I dread to imagine what that lion would have done to that child if the glass wall was not there.
