Three brothers who are Cub Scouts went to the airport for a service project. They thought they were earning a badge for saluting the troops. They saluted and shook the hands of each service member who went by them.
Chance, Trent, and Logan then recorded a message for their father, P.J. Raby, who had been in Afghanistan for several months. They told their dad they love him and appreciate the sacrifices he makes for their country.
And then they spotted someone. Their dad was there at the airport! And the perfect reunion was all caught on video. Grab your kleenex for this one.
These reunions are so bittersweet. While it’s so heartbreaking to think of children being separated from their parents for long periods of time, their enthusiasm at the homecomings always seem to bring a tear to my eye.

These families make incredible sacrifices for our freedoms. They deserve our appreciate and to all be welcomed home.
