A 10 year old California girl is being hailed as a hero and a guardian angel. Kiera Larsen was killed while pushing two toddlers out of the way of a moving vehicle.
A 1999 Mercedes started rolling backwards down the driveway. Kiera’s neighbors, one-year-old Adison and two-year-old Emma Jenkins, were in the path of the car. Kiera threw them out of the way before she was run over.
“She is truly a hero. She will forever be my kids’ guardian angel,’ the mother of the two girls, Alissa Jenkins, told Fox 5. ‘She saved both my daughters’ lives. These are my two kids that I have and both of them could’ve been gone in an instant and she stepped in and took over and did what she knows best to do — and that’s to protect those around her.”
It’s remarkable to think that someone as young as Kiera would be so willing to make such an enormous sacrifice. She obviously put others before herself. Such an awful tragedy for her family.
A Go Fund Me account has been set up to help Kiera’s family with funeral expenses. The goal of $30,000 was quickly surpassed and the fund continues to grow.
