Jodi Arias may be serving a life sentence in prison for the murder of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander, but her life is far from the Hell many were hoping it would be.
According to Daily Mail, Arias raved about her life in prison during a recent upbeat interview in which she talked about the “delicious” jailhouse fajitas and her many entertainment options. While talking to her supporter rapper Kareem ‘Lefty’ Williams, Arias bragged that she hadn’t put on much weight and dismissed her millions of detractors as “haters.”
The 15-minute chat was recorded on January 10, and it was released by Radar Online on Tuesday. During the phone conversation, Arias giggled about prison food, calling it “average.”
“I guess you can compare it to hospital food, because it’s not bad, it’s just not great,” she said. The murderess added that prisoners are served biscuits and gravy for breakfast and cold sandwiches for dinner on most days, but they are given more elaborate meals on weekends.
“We had chicken fajitas tonight [Saturday],” Arias told Williams. “Really good: A big old pile of caramelized onions, some bell peppers, all the works.”
Arias went on to say that she typically skips dinner, which has helped her not gain weight despite the carbohydrate-heavy food offerings.
“I stand up all day,” the 35 year-old continued. “I think that helps.”
Much to the outrage of American taxpayers, Arias said she has a wide range of entertainment options, boasting that she has action to channels like ABC, TBS, PBS, CNN, USA, Lifetime, TNT, Univision and A&E, as well as FM radio.
The pair concluded their conversation by talking about the controversial music video Williams released about Arias’s life, which has since been removed from Youtube.
“Oh yeah, haters are gonna hate,” she told her friend, who added that he believes the pair of them are the most hated people in the country.
“It’s all good. If this is what it is like to be hated, then keep hating!” she said. “I’ve had so much love coming in my direction I can’t even respond to it now.”
Aras then urged Williams to be flattered by the negative attention.
“It doesn’t matter how bad it is,” Arias said. “You should be flattered that somebody took the time …These people have no life or they’re really in love with you.”
