In the liberal world of Hollywood, it’s considered offensive and bigoted to make fun of religions like Islam in any way. When it comes to mocking people for their Christian views, however, it’s totally fair game!

Hollywood actor Woody Harrelson showed this once again on Wednesday night when he slammed Vice President Mike Pence for being a Christian, but it didn’t end well for the star. Breitbart reported that Harrelson told late-night host Jimmy Kimmel that though he was friends with Pence when the two attended Hanover College together, they would not be friends today due to the Vice President’s Christian views, because he has “that kind of fervor that you really don’t want.”

Harrelson said that though he was a Christian when he knew Pence, he decided to put his faith on hold so that he could live his 20s and 30s in “extreme hedonism,” whereas Pence is “still quite religious and just a whole different brand of religious.”

“We were both very religious,” Harrelson said. “It was a Presbyterian college at the time, and I was there on a Presbyterian scholarship.”

“So, you know, seeing as how I’m not quite in that ballpark now, I don’t know how we’d get along, ‘cause I think he’s still quite religious,” Harrelson said, giving the audience a knowing wink. “Just a whole different brand of religious, that kind of fervor that you really don’t want.”

Twitter users immediately let Harrelson know that he can’t get away with this kind of anti-Christian bigotry:
