Are you obsessed with The Walking Dead franchise? Then you’re in for a treat. We have all the information you need about Guts & Glory, The Walking Dead’s reality TV show created by Greg Nicotero, the Emmy-winning special make-up effects creator who has been said to supervise the franchise.

The Walking Dead, based on Robert Kirkman’s graphic novels, ran for 11 seasons, which followed a group of people trying to survive after the world had been overrun by zombies. And now, two episodes of Guts & Glory, which is a new horror-themed reality show, premiered on Shudder on October 14. The show is also available to stream on AMC+.

The competition reality show stars Nicotero, who will force players to try to survive horror-influenced challenges. The challenges are designed to force players to overcome their fears while employing their intellect and skills to compete with them.

With Nicotero’s decades of expertise in the special effects area of entertainment, Guts & Glory is sure to be intriguing and gruesome. This also offers a special niche in the reality TV demographic, most of the popular reality TV shows focus on fending for yourself or finding love.

What’s even more interesting is that this show is ideal for die-hard fans, as the 6-episode series is on the same sets and locations as the franchise. “Their camp was literally where the Whiperers camp was,” revealed Nicotero. “But they couldn’t see the sound stages, so they thought they were in the middle of nowhere.”

So far, only two episodes are out: “The Deep Dark Woods” and “Hospital of Horrors”. The first episode’s official synopsis reads: “Ten contestants are taken to an Alabama swamp, where they’re divided into two teams and search for totems of cryptids. The dark nature of the competition comes into focus when one of the contestants wanders off into the night.”
