Rumors have been swirling for weeks that Vanna White is feuding with Pat Sajak’s Wheel Of Fortune replacement Ryan Seacrest. The rumblings went to the point of alleging that White despises working with Seacrest so much that she wants out of her Wheel Of Fortune contract early.
Now, White is speaking out to seemingly address these rumors publicly for the first time.
White Shuts Down Rumors
White, 67, just took to Instagram to post a photo of herself and Seacrest, 49, enjoying a meal at a restaurant together.
It seems that White is trying to shut these rumors down before they can gain any further traction.
This comes after an insider told Daily Mail that White was struggling to “jibe” with Seacrest after working with Sajak on Wheel Of Fortune for 42 years. White had extended her contract on the beloved game show two more years through 2026 last fall. However, the source alleged that she disliked working with Seacrest so much that she was trying to get out of it early.
“Vanna is retiring from the show when her contract ends, but there is a part of her that wants to walk away sooner,” the insider claimed. “It is just so difficult to do this without Pat.”
“She just doesn’t jibe with Ryan like she did with Pat, and no one really ever expected her to,” the source continued. “There is just no way that she possibly could.”
White ‘Had An Incredible Run’
The insider went on to say that White is grateful for her time on Wheel Of Fortune, and that she has a lot of love for the game show.
“Vanna feels that she has put her time in,” the source explained. “She devoted her entire life to this show and she had an incredible run while making a fortune.”
“She knows that the show needs to go in a different direction and appeal to a younger demographic,” the insider added, going on to say that White “wants the show to continue. This will require a younger female host, someone who can be to Ryan what she was to Pat.”
White had co-hosted Wheel Of Fortune with Sajak, 77, from 1982 until he retired at the end of this past season. She has since started filming with Seacrest, with their first episodes together not set to air until the fall.

Seacrest Speaks Out
As for Seacrest, he’s claimed that he is excited to work with White.
“Of course, being next to Vanna, she’s a legend,” he told E! News back in December. “She’s an icon. We spent a little shooting some promos for next season, and she’s just so down to earth. She’s exactly what you would expect.”
“It’s just so exciting to think about being on that set,” he added. “I’ve watched the show for so many decades. I’m a fan of the show, and the game is the star.”
If there’s one thing fans know about White, it’s that she’s a class act. It’s completely understandable that after working with Sajak for so many years, there would be a learning curve when it came to working with his replacement.
We can only hope that White and Seacrest overcome any speed bumps and manage to work together well. In the end, we don’t want to lose White on Wheel Of Fortune anytime soon!
