Earlier this week, we reported that Pat Sajak had returned to TV to host Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. This came months after Sajak, 78, retired as host of Wheel of Fortune, which he hosted for 43 years.

Rich Sounds Off

Now, the country music star John Rich, 50, is speaking out to rip into Wheel of Fortune, saying that the game show simply isn’t the same without Sajak.

Wheel Of Fortune sucks without @patsajak,” Rich wrote on social media. “Solve the puzzle: BR__ __ G B__CK P__T S__J__K.”

Sajak has been replaced on Wheel of Fortune by Ryan Seacrest. Sajak’s longtime co-host Vanna White, 67, has extended her contract to remain on Wheel of Fortune for at least another two years.

One fan asked Rich, “Not a Ryan Seacrest fan?”

“No, but to be fair, I’m also not a fan of cardboard sandwiches,” Rich replied.

Ouch, shots fired at Seacrest!

Fans Agree With Rich

“I remember when @patsajak was the weatherman in Nashville,” one fan commented. “He was quirky and fun. I knew he’d go on to do something big but little did I know how big. Lol. I actually stopped watching WOF after he left. He was that show. Miss you Pat!!”

“So good seeing you! You are missed everyday!” another added. A third social media user wrote, “I agree, Bring Back Pat Sajak.”

When Sajak teased his return to Celebrity Wheel of Fortune on Instagram, fans showed their support for him there as well.

“Nothing against Ryan but haven’t watched the show since Pat left except for the first episode … not the same without Pat,” one fan commented. Another wrote, “You are really missed. The format and background terrible. Wish you were back.”

Sajak also teased his return to television on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, hours before Celebrity Wheel of Fortune aired on Monday.

“Apparently I’m back on TV tonight,” Sajak wrote. “I guess I’d better shave and shower”

Sajak Returns To TV

At the start of Monday’s episode, Sajak and White walked out together just as they always had. The three celebrity guests were Dionne Warwick, 83, Chance the Rapper, 31, and Lil Jon, 53. Each of them played for charity.

Chance was the big winner at the end of the night, taking home $63,800 for SocialWorks. This is a group that empowers youth through the arts, education, and civic engagement in Chicago.

Meanwhile, Warwick and Lil Jon each garnered $30,000 for their respective charities; North Jersey Community Research Initiative and Open Paths Counseling Center.

Sajak Retires

Fans were left devastated when Sajak retired from Wheel of Fortune back in June.

“Well, the time has come to say goodbye,” he said at the end of his final show. “I have a few thanks and acknowledgments before I go, and I want to start with all of you watching out there. It’s been an incredible privilege to be invited into millions of homes night after night, year after year, decade after decade.”

“And I’ve always felt like the privilege came with the responsibility to keep this daily half hour a safe place for family fun,” he continued. “No social issues, no politics, nothing embarrassing I hope, just a game.”

While Seacrest has done the best he can in filling Sajak’s shoes, there is nobody quite like the former Wheel of Fortune show. In the end, we can certainly see why Rich feels that the iconic game show just isn’t the same without Sajak!
