Tom Brady is allegedly about to make his return to the NFL months after he retired for the second time, but not in the way you’re likely thinking.

Brady In ‘Deep Discussions’
ESPN reported that Brady, 45, is in “deep discussions” to become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. Sources say that Brady and Mark Davis, the current Raiders owner, have been in discussions “for weeks.”
Despite this, one source claimed that the conversations between the two men have been “extremely sensitive and fluid,” with another said that Brady’s investment may end up being “passive,” meaning he would not have any control over the business or football aspects of the team.
Daily Mail reported that this comes two months after Brady announced that he’d become a limited partner in the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces, which is also owned by Davis. Brady’s other business ventures include his TB12 health and wellness brand, as well as his production company 199 Productions, which he launched in 2020.
On top of that, Brady owns the apparel company Brady Brand, and he also co-founded Autograph, an NFT platform centered around sports, back in 2021. Last year, Brady’s net worth was estimated to be $333 million last year, as it was estimated that he’d made $52 million overall from endorsement deals in addition to his NFL money.

Brady’s Retirement
Brady initially retired from the NFL last year, only to change his mind a few weeks later and play another season as quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He then retired again back in February in an emotional video that was posted to social media.
“I’ll get to the point right away: I’m retiring for good,” Brady said in the video. “I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first. So I won’t be long-winded.”
“I think you only get one super-emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year,” he continued. “So, really, thank you guys, so much, to every single one of you, for supporting me. My family, my friends, teammates, my competitors, I could go on forever, there’s too many. Thank you, guys, for letting me live my absolute dream. I wouldn’t change a thing. Love you all.”

Brady’s Divorce
Brady’s personal life has also been difficult as of late, as he and his wife Gisele Bündchen divorced in October of last year after thirteen years of marriage.
“In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage,” Brady said at the time. “We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.”
“We arrived at this decision to end our marriage after much consideration,” he later added. “Doing so is, of course, painful and difficult, like it is for many people who go through the same thing every day around the world. However we wish only the best for each other as we pursue whatever new chapters in our lives that are yet to be written.”

Regardless of how active his role would be, it would certainly be interesting to see Brady return to the NFL as an owner! Only time will tell if this actually comes to fruition.
