Birdman (2014) – Unusual filming presented unusual challenges

Because the shooting of Birdman was so unique, it provided both challenges and advantages for the cast and crew of the film. The movie was shot in just two months, and because it was filmed in sequence – unlike most films – the editing process was relatively short and completed in just two weeks.
However, the unusual filming style also meant that Michael Keaton and the rest of the cast often had to perform up to 15 pages of dialogue at a time.
