Million Dollar Baby (2004) – Filming wasn’t easy for Hilary Swank
The actress trained with kickboxing champ Lucia Rijker to prepare, and at one point suffered from a blister on her foot during training. The blister became severely infected and she almost had to be hospitalized, but choose to take a week off of filming for home rest.
The actress said she didn’t tell director Clint Eastwood about the medical mishap as she felt it wouldn’t have been true to the movie’s character.
