Things got messy once again on Monday’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View” when cohosts Meghan McCain and Joy Behar got into yet another spat on live television.
The Hill reported that it all started when the panel was discussing whether or not the United States should be sending aid to Central American countries.
“This is a hard-line issue for people who live in border states,” McCain said, referring to the immigration debate. “[For] many friends of mine, this is the number one and only issue.”
“Keep them there happy,” Behar responded. “Give them a house, give them food, help them, help their children – “
“Give a Nicaraguan a house?” McCain interrupted. “Well, we’ve had a bunch of liberal guests who do not want to send in aid at all – “
“Hold on, I’ve listened to you, just let me finish,” Behar replied, to which McCain fired back, “Yeah, well, part of your job is to listen to me … I’m just saying.”
At this point, moderator Whoopi Goldberg jumped in to put a stop to the argument.
“Here’s the deal, here’s what’s not going to happen today: We’re not going to do this,” Goldberg said. “Everybody gets a conversation piece, everybody gets to say their piece and we don’t need to comment if we don’t like what we’re hearing. Just let folks talk.”
“So finish what you’re saying,” Goldberg said to Behar.
“I forgot what it was now,” a bitter Behar replied, clearly dejected by McCain.
Behar has shown time and time again that she is an ignorant liberal who is not open-minded to views that differ from her own at all. We’ve always marveled at the strength and patience McCain shows in dealing with Behar, but Behar’s attitude is so rotten that she can be forgiven for losing her temper at times. We’re glad that McCain once again stood her ground and refused to be bullied into silence by the liberals on her panel who always outnumber her on the show. Keep up the good work, Meghan!
