After her arrest for her role in the college admissions scam that continues to grip headlines, it was reported that “Full House” actress Lori Loughlin was in denial about the severity of her situation. Now, however, insiders are saying that the gravity of the charges have finally hit Loughlin, who is now only focusing on her upcoming trial.
“Since Lori isn’t working, this is the focus for her,” a source said, referring to her trial. “It’s obviously not the healthiest focus. She still seems stressed and worried about the future. It’s kind of like this surreal situation.”
Fox News reported that since Loughlin was fired by the Hallmark Channel after the scandal broke, she has not been working. Instead, she has been laying low at home with her husband Mossimo Giannulli and their two daughters, Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade.
“Lori is used to being very busy with work and her family, so it’s difficult mentally for her that this is the focus,” the insider said. “They have mostly been staying home and spending time as a family. Both Olivia and Bella have been around. Olivia still wants to rebuild her business. She is positive that she will be able to. She isn’t one to give up.”
Olivia was said to have been furious at her parents after the scandal broke, as she believed they ruined her lucrative career as a social media influencer. After it was revealed that Loughlin and Giannulli paid $500,000 in bribe money to get Olivia into the University of Southern California, the 19-year-old lost endorsement deals with brands like Estee Lauder, Sephora, and TreSemme.
In the end, the source said that this scandal has only brought the Giannulli family closer to one another.
“Their attitude is more like, ‘We are going get through this as a family,” the source explained. “After they were first hit with charges, it was a chaotic situation for everyone. Things have definitely calmed down.”
We’re glad to see that this family finally seems to be taking this seriously. After all, Loughlin and Giannulli are each facing forty years in prison, so their charges are nothing to scoff at. They should be putting everything they have right now into this trial because the stakes could not be higher for them. It will be interesting to see how this case continues to unfold as the trial nears in the coming months.
