Some noted that the escalator was dangerously high.
When I worked there I always said that escalator is dangerous it’s so high and has nothing covering in case someone tries to jump or fall

Fans React To The Tragedy
This is so sad. I witnessed a girl fall of a balcony at a concert once. After the concert we ran into Warrant members, they told us she had passed, they were ?. An electrician friend was working the concert & told me about it later. It was tragic.https://t.co/LlZ74nmzMA

It’s sad, I just hope we don’t hear of a lawsuit blaming Kenny Chesney. Unfortunately she fell because she chose to sit on the railing, and put herself in a dangerous/deadly situation. Sad she lost her life.

How Dangerous Are Escalators?
According to a 2006 CDC report, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Consumer Product Safety Commission, “[i]ncidents involving elevators and escalators kill about 30 and seriously injure about 17,000 people each year in the United States[.]” But about 9 out of 10 deaths and 6 out of 10 injuries are due to elevators, not escalators. And almost half of those deaths occur during maintenance operations.
But a later 2013 study, ‘Riding the Escalator: How Dangerous is it Really?’ published in the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine found that “[a]bout 10,000 escalator-related injuries per year result in emergency department treatment in the United States.” According to the data cited in that study, escalator deaths increased in the decades after 1990.
The study concluded that, while escalators can cause “severe trauma,” there are two significant risk factors that increase the chance of injury. One was age. The other? Alcohol intoxication.
Intoxication was suspected to be involved in the death of Francisco Morales who “fell to his death chasing after a hat that had blown off in the wind” at Empower Field.
Research by the Research Society on Alcoholism suggests that overserving may be a problem at sporting events. It may be an issue at concerts too. Ultimately, it’s up to the individual to ensure that they’re not drinking too much, but accidents like this one may cause venues to rethink their alcohol policies.
Empower Field Responds
A spokesman for Empower Field released a statement saying:
“We extend our deepest sympathies to the loved ones of the woman involved in the tragic incident,” the statement said. The woman has not been publicly identified and Magee did not know her age. He also did not know how far she fell or whether she was taken to a hospital or died at the stadium.”
