After being absent for over a week, The View co-host Joy Behar finally returned to the ABC talk show, and her fellow colleagues took the opportunity to celebrate her 80th birthday, which was actually last Friday. During the celebration, President Joe Biden, who turns 80 next month, sent in a video message in which he fawned over Behar in a nauseating way.

Biden Gushes Over Behar

“From the whole Biden family, happy birthday, Joy!” Biden said, as transcribed by The New York Post. “You speak your mind. You speak from the heart. You stand up for what you believe, and you do it with warmth, humor and authenticity.”

“You and your friends at The View started a national conversation 25 years ago that’s still going on,” he added.

First Lady Jill Biden then spoke up to address Behar directly, saying, “No one is better named than you. You brought joy to so many of your friends and admirers with your trademark humor and that smile that lights up the room.”

Behar Responds

Behar, a radical liberal who defends Biden every chance she gets, seemed to be shocked by the president’s birthday message to her.

“I just want to say, ‘Gracias, Mr. Presidente.’ I’m assuming I’ll be invited to the Christmas party this year,” the television host begged, adding that his message to her was “pretty impressive.”

Behar was also sent birthday messages from celebrities like Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Silverman, and Bette Midler, who said, “You’re who I wish I was. I love you.”

‘I Have No Plans To Retire’

As Behar celebrated her birthday at home last Friday, she shut down rumors that she would be leaving The View.

“I just signed a contract, so I’ll be here for a while,” the comedian told People Magazine. “I have no plans to retire.”

Behar then gushed over The View, claiming that it is an “important show.”

“It’s really, you know, something that is an important show in many ways,” she said. “Sometimes I don’t believe that, as I’ve been here since the beginning, but we’re the most-watched show in daytime. Most watched! I’m happy to be a part of it. So no, I’m not going anywhere. I’m having a good time.”

Behar’s Previous Comments

The New York Post reported that Behar signed a new contract with ABC back in July that will keep her on The View through at least 2025. While the amount that the television host signed for was not disclosed to the public, sources claimed that it’s likely she’s being paid an eight-figure sum.

Behar had said back in 2020 that it was unlikely that she would stay on The View after she turned 80.

“I have a three-year contract,” Behar was quoted as saying in the bestselling book Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of ‘The View.’

“I don’t see myself staying for more [time]. That’s it! I could be wrong. If I’m as fabulous in [2022] as I am now, I’ll think about,” she added. “But the chances of that happening … You know, time marches on. I’m not a kid.”

Unfortunately, something appears to have changed Behar’s mind, as it seems she’ll be spouting her ignorant left-wing views on The View for many years to come.
