Last week, we reported that the NFL legend Tom Brady had announced that he is retiring “for good” one year to the day after he initially announced that he was retiring from professional football, only to un-retire weeks later to play another season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady’s ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, who he divorced back in October after 13 years of marriage, did not seem phased by his latest retirement announcement. Afterwards, she was spotted on the beach taking part in what seemed to be a week-long, sultry magazine photo shoot.

Bündchen ‘Feels Renewed And Empowered’

“The probability of Tom Brady’s retirement this season is something Gisele highly considered,” brand expert Eric Schiffer told Fox News. “It happened because she feels renewed and empowered to focus more on herself and what makes her happy.”

“Having a comeback career post-divorce is something anyone who has gone through an excruciating soul-crushing split relates,” he continued.

Bündchen, 42, had put her own career as a supermodel on the back-burner to support Brady, 45, during their marriage. Now that they have split up, she seems more eager than ever to get back in front of the camera.

“This seismic shift is in her best interest if it makes her happy, feel powerful, and aligns with her vision of herself at this stage of Gisele’s life,” Schiffer said. “Gisele’s potential to return to stardom never got destroyed, and so many are pulling for her.”

Brady And Bündchen’s Divorce

The breakup of Brady and Bündchen’s marriage was rumored to stem in part from his decision to un-retire. Bündchen assumed that Brady would be able to spend more time with their family after his retirement, allowing her to focus more on her own career again. She admitted back in October that she had “conversations with him over and over again” about him continuing to play at his age.

“I’ve done my part, which is [to] be there for [Tom],” she said at the time. “I moved to Boston, and I focused on creating a cocoon and a loving environment for my children to grow up in and to be there supporting him and his dreams.”

“Seeing my children succeed and become the beautiful little humans that they are, seeing him succeed and being fulfilled in his career — it makes me happy,” she continued. “At this point in my life, I feel like I’ve done a good job on that. I have a huge list of things that I have to do, that I want to do. At 42, I feel more connected with my purpose.”

Bündchen Focused On The Future

Even in this October interview, Bündchen made it clear that she’s firmly focused on the future.

“At this point in my life, I feel like I’ve done a good job on that,” she said. “I have a huge list of things that I have to do, that I want to do. At 42, I feel more connected with my purpose.”

Brady and Bündchen are parents to Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 10. Brady is also a father to 15 year-old Jack from a previous relationship with the “Blue Bloods” star Bridget Moynahan.

Brady announced his retirement from the NFL last week in a video posted to social media.

“I’m retiring — for good. I know the process was a pretty big deal last time,” he said. “So, when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first. So, I won’t be long-winded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay and I used mine up last year.”

Bündchen expressed her support for her ex-husband in the comments section, writing, “Wishing you only wonderful things in this new chapter of your life.”

Bündchen ‘Is A Great Example For Us All’

If Brady is hoping that him retiring will allow him to get Bündchen back, however, he may be in for a disappointment, as she seems to have completely moved on.

“Gisele is a great example for us all that no break-up (with your boyfriend, job, etc.) should stop you from enjoying life to the fullest and expressing your own unique personal style, from fashion and makeup to cosmetic treatments,” said beauty expert and Upkeep app founder Tiffany Demers.

“Post break-up glow-ups used to include a new hair color and cut, but as Gisele is proving, glow-ups have a whole new meaning,” she added.

While it was sad to see this couple divorce, we’re glad to see that Bündchen at least appears to be living her best life as a single woman. Here’s hoping that Brady can find that kind of happiness in the months to come!
