While it may come as a surprise to liberals, video from a Katie Couric interview shows Ruth Bader Ginsburg was not a fan of their beloved Colin Kaepernick and his NFL anthem-kneeling protests.
The liberal Supreme Court Justice passed away on Friday at the age of 87 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. America has been in mourning for her ever since, with liberals in particular celebrating RBG for her leftwing views.

RBG Rebukes Colin Kaepernick’s NFL Anthem-Kneeling During Katie Couric Interview
In the wake of Ginsburg’s passing, comments she made in 2016 about Kaepernick taking a knee during the national anthem have resurfaced.
Unlike so many of her fellow liberals, Ginsburg was not happy to see Kaepernick disrespecting the American flag by kneeling during the anthem before his NFL games.
“I think it’s really dumb of them,” Ginsburg said when asked about the anthem-kneeling, according to Yahoo News.
“Would I arrest them for doing it? No,” she added. “I think it’s dumb and disrespectful. I would have the same answer if you asked me about flag burning. I think it’s a terrible thing to do, but I wouldn’t lock a person up for doing it. I would point out how ridiculous it seems to me to do such an act.”

Ruth Bader Ginsburg Refuses To Back Down To Katie Couric
At the time, interviewer Katie Couric tried to press Ginsburg into changing her mind, saying,
“But when it comes to these football players, you may find their actions offensive, but what you’re saying is, it’s within their rights to exercise those actions?”
Ginsburg, however, was not having any of it.
“Yes,” said Ginsburg. “If they want to be stupid, there’s no law that should be preventive. If they want to be arrogant, there’s no law that prevents them from that. What I would do is strongly take issue with the point of view that they are expressing when they do that.”

NFL Anthem-Kneeling Has Only Gotten Worse Since 2016
In the years since Ruth Bader Ginsburg made these comments, Colin Kaepernick’s NFL anthem kneeling protest has become legend.
In fact, the out-of-work quarterback has become a full-on martyr in the eyes of the left. Many view Kaepernick as a victim.
If Ginsburg was disturbed by what Kaepernick was doing in 2016, she was likely disgusted with what the NFL has devolved to in terms of allowing players to kneel.
These days, it’s impossible to enjoy an NFL game without seeing countless overpaid young athletes disrespect our country by taking a knee during the anthem in the name of social justice.
Ginsburg may have been a Democrat, but it’s clear that unlike so many of her fellow liberals, she had a great deal of love for her country.
It’s nice to see that RBG saw right through Colin Kaepernick from the very beginning.
