The former “Fuller House” star Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli were back in court this week asking a judge for permission to go to Mexico for a wedding.
Loughlin And Giannulli’s Request From Judge
Court papers obtained by TMZ show that the ex-convicts filed court documents seeking approval for a trip to San Jose del Cabo in Mexico from November 5 to November 12.
When asked to explain why they should be given the right to go, they argued that they’ve been compliant with the terms of their supervised release since getting out of prison.
Loughlin pointed out that she’s paid her $150,000 fine that was part of her sentence and completed most of her community service. Giannulli said that he’s paid his $250,000 fine and says he’s making progress on the community service.
Loughlin and Giannulli previously got permission from a judge to travel to Cabo in June, citing the same reasons in that request.
It remains to be seen if their request will be successful this time.

Loughlin’s Scandal
Last year, Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty to charges related to them paying $500,000 in bribe money. They allegedly paid to have their two daughters admitted to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team. However, neither girl had ever rowed before.
Loughlin would go on to serve two months in prison and get out at the end of 2020, while Giannulli served five months and was released in April. They have since been trying to rebuild their lives and reputations in the wake of this humiliating scandal.
Loughlin is making her Hollywood comeback with her first acting gig since the controversy, reprising her role of Abigail Stanton in the spinoff of “When Calls The Heart” that is titled “When Hope Calls.”
Olivia Jade, Loughlin’s daughter, is on this season’s “Dancing With The Stars.” Loughlin’s yet to watch her daughter from the audience.

It will certainly be interesting to see if Loughlin is able to be forgiven by Hollywood and resume the successful career in television that she had before this scandal.
