Candace Cameron Bure has been a household name ever since she was a little girl starring on the sitcom “Full House” back in the 1980s, and her 23 year-old daughter Natasha has recently decided to go into acting as well.

Now, however, Natasha is publicly firing back at haters who may think that she is only getting acting roles because she is her mother’s daughter.

Natasha Insists She’s Not Benefiting From Nepotism

“A lot of people will kind of assume that if I get any job or work at all that it’s from her,” Natasha told Today. “Or it’s given to me or it’s handed to me, and it’s honestly quite literally the opposite.”

Natasha went on to say that she has put in the work to build her own career separate from her connection to her mother.

“I’m out here like everyone else just grinding and trying to follow my dreams and make them come true,” she added. “So I think that’s one misconception that’s a little bit frustrating to see.”

Natasha Goes To Candace For Advice

While Natasha doesn’t use Candace to get acting roles, she does go to her mother for advice when it comes to navigating the crazy entertainment industry in Hollywood.

“One of the biggest pieces of advice she’s given me, and she gave it to me a while ago, it’s to say yes to things that scare you and to really go after things that are out of your comfort zone,” she continued. “Because those are the types of experiences that are really going to push you in your life.”

Natasha has also made it clear that she has no problem working with her mother, as she’s starred with her in two Hallmark projects so far in her career. She played both Candace’s daughter and niece in the 2017 film Switched For Christmas, and earlier this year, she portrayed the teenage version of her mom’s character in Aurora Teagarden: Haunted by Murder.

Candace Discusses Working With Natasha

Back in May, Candace opened up about what it was like to work with Natasha on this second project.

“It was so much fun for her to play my character as a high school student,” Candace told E! News. When asked how she behaved around her daughter on set, the 46-year-old admitted that she is “totally a stage mom.”

“I was having the best time because I had my camera out, I was videotaping everything,” Candace recalled. “I’m also the producer of the movie, so I can do whatever I want. And I was just ‘stage-momming’ it up in the best of ways. I loved it.”

Candace’s Family And Values

Natasha is one of three children that Candace shares with her husband, former professional hockey player Valeri Bure, to whom she has been married for 26 years. They are also parents to sons Lev, 22, and Maks, 20.

Candace has long been one of the few openly conservative Christian stars in Hollywood, and she’s made it clear that she’s been raising her children with these values. Hopefully, Natasha will follow in her mother’s footsteps not only when it comes to success in acting, but also in always going with God!
